Incumbent performs a variety of duties in accomplishing the objectives of the Labor and Employee Relations Programs. Provides advice and assistance to management officials concerning disciplinary, adverse, and performance-related actions, including serious cases which have the potential of embarrassing the organization or otherwise require special treatment. In this capacity, the incumbent drafts corrective action notices, insuring such notices are technically correct, conducts pre-action administrative investigations, and prepares reports of investigation.
As a Human Resources Specialist (Employee & Labor Relations), you will:
-Assist management officials at all levels in developing an understanding of the use of discipline, as well as establishing uniformity of actions throughout the organization.
-Coordinate and processes cases involving reports of investigation, removals, involuntary separations and
other adverse actions. These cases often involve highly charged emotional situations of a potentially
serious or controversial nature.
-Provide advice, guidance, and assistance to managers as requested or required to ensure compliance
with the customer’s policies and the appropriate law, rule or regulation.
