About the Agency

Incumbent performs a variety of duties in accomplishing the objectives of the Labor and Employee Relations Programs. Provides advice and assistance to management officials concerning disciplinary, adverse, and performance-related actions, including serious cases which have the potential of embarrassing the organization or otherwise require special treatment.  In this capacity, the incumbent drafts corrective action notices, insuring such notices are technically correct, conducts pre-action administrative investigations, and prepares reports of investigation.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
-Interpret and adapts established guidelines to perform the more complex, interrelated, or
one-of-a-kind clerical processing procedures and resolve procedural problems.
- Assist in compiling statistical, administrative, and special reports and projects by
researching, gathering and assembling information from a variety of sources.
- Examine documents for completeness, discrepancies, sampling requirements, and other special
requirements.
- Post transactions, documents, and entries to specialized records.
