As a Clerical Assistant, you will:

-Interprets and adapt established guidelines to perform the more complex, interrelated, or
one-of-a-kind clerical processing procedures and resolve procedural problems.
- Assist in compiling statistical, administrative, and special reports and projects by
researching, gathering and assembling information from a variety of sources.
- Examine documents for completeness, discrepancies, sampling requirements, and other special

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-05, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 

-Posting transactions, documents, and entries to specialized records;
-Examining documents for completeness, discrepancies and other special requirements; and
-Providing miscellaneous office support such as answering and responding to referring calls, maintaining office files, copying materials for recurring and special purposes.
You may substitute education for experience as follows: four (4) years of education above the high school level.  (Please attach a copy of transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit.) OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
