As a Clerk your duties may include but are not limited to:  

  • Performs routine procedural clerical and administrative support work
  • Applies a series of prescribed procedures or steps while processing clerical transactions
  • Assures that the procedures for processing transactions are followed
  • Mails and files correspondence
  • Answers the telephone
  • Reports and records time and attendance

Ability to communicate orally and in writing and follow simple instructions and effectively deal with the general public.

Conditions of employment:

1.  A one-year probationary period may be required.

2.  Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

3.  Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check. 

4.  Successfully complete and maintain all required background checks of AR 215-3 to include a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) which will be initiated prior to appointment.


Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid experience or volunteer work.

There are NO BENEFITS for a FLEXIBLE (FLEX) position.


Conversion of employment category (from Flex to RPT/RFT) may be accomplished without further competition in accordance with AR 215-3.


Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement for up to 90 days after the closing date.
