MASSACHUSETTS AIR NATIONAL GUARD

TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION :  As allowed by OPM guidelines, the Massachusetts Air National Guard follows a three tier advertisement process.  The three tier process will be as follows:

 

Tier I: All current MA ANG tenure 1 and 2 technicians and MA ANG permanent AGRs

Tier II: All current MA ANG members, to include tenure 3 and tenure 0 technicians, traditional guardsmen, and temporary AGRs

Tier III: All individuals eligible for immediate enlistment into the MA ANG

 

***This is an indefinite position, tenure 3, with a time limit determined by the needs of the agency. Any permanent military technician who is selected for this position will become tenure 3. The selectee will receive the same benefits and entitlements as the tenure 1 employee, but will be considered tenure 3 for purposes of reduction in force. If a permanent resource becomes available, incumbent may be converted to a permanent appointment without competition.

Duties

This position is located within a National Guard aircraft logistics organization. Its purpose is to control and coordinate various plans and programs involving aircraft logistics to include mobility, contingency, financial and facility management, and maintenance manning; and to accomplish budget formulations, and execution evaluations of logistics operating funds and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) funds for Depot Level Repairables (DLRs).
