This vacancy announcement is for a Survey Clerk(OA), GS-0303-05, position in the Los Angeles Regional Office located in Van Nuys, CA.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Relocation expenses may or may not be paid.
This position may be filled through means other than the competitive promotion process.
One year probationary period may be required.
The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

The position reports to one or more Survey Supervisor(s). The individual selected for this position will:






    • Complete a variety of tasks required in the collection, control, field review, and reporting of statistical data obtained in a major survey or a combination of surveys



 


    • Provide technical assistance to field staff using automated tools including locating addresses and/or respondent search through the Internet or other search applications including mapping software



 


    • Provide assistance to the survey supervisor with automated searches for case status, documentation for case outcomes, and following up with field staff on missing or inadequate case information.



 


    • Establish working relationships with all levels of management, external parties, and stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To be minimally qualified for this position, applicants MUST have a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with 3 or fewer errors based on a five-minute sample.


In addition, you must have the experience or education listed below or a combination of both.

GRADE 05: EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level.   Examples of such specialized  experience include: providing office support to a staff and performing clerical duties such as, mass mailings; file system management; telephone monitoring and interviewing;  maintaining program forms and offices files; and typing routine forms, and memorandum necessary to maintain program and administrative services using office automation equipment.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or four years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree that provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of a Survey Clerk (OA).
