The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-13. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-11 to GS-13. The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the selected candidates education and experience and recommend the grade and step at which the candidate will be placed. The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected candidate.

This position independently performs psychological and substance abuse assessments of patients seen in the Substance Abuse Residential Recovery Treatment Program (SARRTP). Provides a full range therapeutic interventions including: individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, psychoeducation, case management and care coordination. Primary assignment is with the residential treatment program, services may also be provided on an outpatient basis. Provides psychological consultation to a multidisciplinary team on a wide variety of patient care issues. Provides crisis intervention services to patients, seeking to address the cause as well as the presenting complaint. Develops treament plans in collaboration with the patient/family and with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Possesses the skills to measure outcomes to interventions.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. May be required to work some evening hours and during weekends. Hours will be negotiated with supervisor.
