This position is a term appointment not to exceed (NTE) 3 years.

This position will be filled by detail or through temporary promotion.

Current FBI incumbent selected for this position will be returned to his/her former position or other comparable grade and location after the assignment is completed. If this position is filled through temporary promotion, the selection may be made permanent without further competition.

External Applicant:  Please be advised that upon completion of the three (3) year assignment or if the current incumbent returns earlier than the three years from their assignment the term will end.  While serving in this NTE assignment, incumbent may apply to vacant positions advertised to permanent FBI personnel to attain permanent employment.  If the current incumbent does not return for some reason then the selection may be made permanent without further competition.




Duties GS 9:

* Provides administrative support and coordination for the overall training program in a field office.

* Provides training to local and regional law enforcement within the jurisdiction of the field office, field office personnel, and for facilitating training programs in conjunction with the Training and Development Division, FBIHQ.

* Serves as the primary FBI contact for external organizations on non-law enforcement-related matters.

* Assists in, and at times may lead, the coordination of community-based programs in a field office to promote cooperation with local representatives of national, state, and local civic groups, government entities, private and not-for-profit organizations, partnerships, school systems, etc.
