Supervises or directly coordinates responses to all consultation requests for psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.  Coordinates scheduling of all referred veterans, supervision of assessments, evaluation of test results, monitoring of test interpretation, and appropriate communication of results to referral sources.  Maintains testing equipment, forms, manuals, and materials.  Ensures the correct administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological and neuropsychological measures.  The accurate presentation of resulting data is entered into the veterans electronic medical record.  Searches literature relevant to psychological and neuropsychological assessment.  Provides direct patient care to selected veterans for service.  Uses professional judgment and advanced practice skills to diagnose.  Assesses risk factors and develops a treatment plan, involving the veteran and family/significant other.  Develops comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members, including goals, objectives and interventions for psychosocial clinical treatment.  Makes adjustments to the treatment plan and interventions based on the he changing needs, response to interventions and to improve outcomes.

Tour of Duty:  8:00 AM TO 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday

 BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Citizen of the United States.
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). The specialty area of the degree must be consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed. AND Have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program that has been accredited by APA.
  • Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
  • Be proficient in spoken and written English

GRADE DETERMINATIONS: 2 years of post-doctoral experience as a psychologist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES;

Candidate must demonstrate the KSA's identified below for the assignment, within their resume.

KSA – 1 - Knowledge of, and ability to apply, advanced professional psychological theories and techniques to the full range of patient populations.

KSA – 2 - Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.

KSA – 3 - Knowledge of clinical research literature.
