The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-13. The actual grade at which an applicant may be
selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-11 to GS-13.
The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the
selected candidates education and experience and recommend the grade and step
at which the candidate will be placed.
The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected

The neuropsychologist provides a full range of psychodiagnostic services
including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques. The
neuropsychologist performs evaluations for veterans with a variety of neuropsychological,
psychological, and neurological disorders including dementia, stroke, TBI, epilepsy, movement
disorders, learning disability, ADHD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. The
neuropsychologist provides individual and group psychotherapy for patients in Extended Care
Service including the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) and Rural Health Program. The
neuropsychologist provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including: individual and
family psychotherapy, caregiver stress support, neurocognitive rehabilitation, cognitivebehavioral
therapy, and interpersonal therapy within the outpatient and inpatient settings. The
incumbent provides supervision of trainees conducting direct clinical care and neuropsychology
