If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and may be required to attend U.S. Army Basic Training.  Applicant may contact an Army National Guard Recruiter.

 

If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

APPLICANTS ABOVE THE MAXIMUM RANK:

Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered.   Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank.   If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion.   Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer rank to Enlisted only.   Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant.

LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION:  INDIVIDUAL SELECTED MUST HAVE A SECRET CLEARANCE OR MUST BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Duties

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position:  A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.

 

DUTIES: Serves as a principal expert and the authoritative source for software application development providing project leadership to lower-graded specialists,  Determines feasibility of the requested applications.  Analyzes National Guard Bureau (NGB), agency and locally developed standards/stovepipe systems to determine needed additions.  Develops reports on the status of projects.  Develops and documents internal Standard Operating Procedures/Instructions (SOP/SOIs) for application development.
