The Supervisory Psychologist is responsible for the Behavioral Medicine Service (BMS) Integrated Mental Health in Primary Care (MHPC) program, Behavioral Medicine staff embedded in Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) and the Compensation & Pension Examiners. The incumbent supervises multi-disciplinary teams located at multiple sites. The Supervisor proposes, plans for and collaborates with the Chief of Behavioral Medicine, to develop new procedures or systems as the need arises due to process changes or expansion of services. Duties also include, but are not limited to conducting projects or studies to analyze, evaluate and provide recommendations on programs and issues, responsible for evaluating program effectiveness and assisting in the development of detailed procedures and protocol to supplement established administrative regulations or program guidance. The incumbent provides direct patient care services, as well as, manages the daily operation of the programs, develops policies and procedures for program operation, and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN and National use.
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm.
This position may require early mornings, evenings and/or weekends and holidays. Participation on the On Call rotation schedule to accommodate patient care needs during weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights is necessary.
