If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and may be required to attend U.S. Army Basic Training. Applicant may contact an Army National Guard Recruiter.
If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.
APPLICANTS ABOVE THE MAXIMUM RANK: Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds
the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must
provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their
willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in
military rank is required to prevent grade inversion. Air/Army Officers and
Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer
rank to Enlisted only. Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and
Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant.

DUTIES: Recognizes, isolates, and resolves specific and general problems relating to proper utilization of common transportation services. Selects modes of transportation and routing to obtain most efficient and economical service to the government in accordance with established policies and regulations. Participates in the development of procedures and studies on a variety of one-time movements, special cargo activities and repetitive high volume operations. Responsible for the inspection of commercial carriers equipment before and after use. Receives requests for outbound Government Bills of Lading.
