Bargaining Unit Position: Yes
The purpose of this position is to function as the
Outpatient clinical psychologist at the Redding Community Based Outpatient Clinic
(CBOC). The incumbent serves as
a psychologist within both General Mental Health and Primary Care, with clinical
responsibilities involving integration of mental health service within primary
care. It is expected that the incumbent
will successfully coordinate service delivery with Primary Care staff and other
Mental Health providers as appropriate.
As a psychologist he/she will apply advanced strategies to the
assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems encountered among
patients in the primary care setting, with an emphasis on promoting good health
practices, improving adherence to medical regimens, and addressing
psychological/behavioral difficulties that contribute to or result from medical
