If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and may be required to attend U.S. Army Basic Training. Applicant may contact an Army National Guard Recruiter.
If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion. Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer rank to Enlisted only. Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant.
MILITARY POSITION: Any Aviation Unit in the Army New Jersey National Guard.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS: Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:
CMF: MUST HAVE 15G
LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION: MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position: A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.
DUTIES: Inspects and troubleshoots aircraft structures such as fuselage, tail, wings, cowlings and stabilizers. Repairs cracks in aircraft skin. Sets up, operates and maintains power shears, metal brakes, rolls, dimpling machines, drills, saws, heat-treating furnaces, hardness testers, arc and oxyacetalene welders and other metal working equipment and tools of the trade. May paint, strip or stencil aircraft and/or components. May assist in other functions within the Component Repair Shop in the accomplishment of mission requirements.
