This is a Department of the Navy Pathways Internship Program Opportunity and is located at the Trades Department, Maintenance Center, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia.

This position has promotion potential to the WG-08 grade level. If selected below the full performance level, incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Assist in preparing containers with appropriate bracing for shipment of hazardous materials such as flammables, caustics, and corrosives.

·         Assist in repairing wooden supply, storage, and shipping items which typically require complete custom building involving complex construction plans and work procedures.

·         Assist in planning and constructing custom shipping and storage containers for items or irregular size and shape.

·         Assist in constructing small and specialized containers for delicate instruments.
