The VA Heart of Texas Health Care Network is seeking two Health System Specialist Interns. These positions will be located in the VISN Office in Arlington, Texas. This is a great opportunity to fulfill graduate program degree requirements related to Healthcare Administration.

As a Health System Specialist Intern you will assist in carrying out organizational projects and you will participate in the evaluation of program effectiveness at the operational level. You will provide administrative support to the staff at the VA Heart of Texas Health Care Network office in Arlington, TX. Work assignments will be designed to provide training in health care administration functions.

Work Schedule: MONDAY-FRIDAY; 8:00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program, with at least a half-time academic course load, in one of the following areas: Master of Public Health in Healthcare Administration (MPH), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), or Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA). Note: MBA and MPA candidates must have at least two (2) courses in healthcare administration, in conjunction with the degree program. These courses must be listed on your official transcript.
