This position is within the Supply Management Branch of the Grand Coulee Power Office.  Incumbent is Supervisor of the Branch which includes, Supply/Property Management, Buildings Management and Warehousing.  The Supply Management Branch is directly responsible for the day-to-day receipt, warehousing, inventory and control of supply, property, and material administration.  The incumbent also supervises the Grand Coulee buildings management program.

You must possess a year of work experience that shows your ability to perform progressively more complex, responsible, or difficult duties; and that shows your ability to learn the specific work of this job.

For the GS-11 level: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-09 in the federal service.

Or

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. -or- Equivalent combinations of education and experience.

Education must be obtained from an accredited college or university.

Specialized experience must include:

  • Initial planning, including requirements analysis and determination, through acquisition, cataloging, storage, distribution and utilization to ultimate issue for consumption or disposal;
  • Inventory management including storage and distribution;
  • Maintenance of records. Involves work concerning furnishing all types of supplies, equipment, material, property (except real estate) and certain services;
  • Industrial or other concerns under contract to the Government and receiving supplies;
  • A basic knowledge of buildings management
  • Supervising and managing day-to-day technical and administrative functions of a diverse range of programs and occupations; 
     


This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience. HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Category rating and selection procedures will be used to evaluate applications from this announcement. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your on-line responses to the vacancy assessment questionnaire will be used to determine the quality and extent of your experience, education, training, etc., for placement in one of the following categories: A) Best Qualified, B) Well Qualified, and C) Qualified. Qualified candidates will be assigned a numerical score on a scale of 70-100 and veterans with preference will be placed at the top of their respective category. The assessment questionnaire will take you approximately 45 minutes to complete.

1.  Ability to supervise a diverse workforce of employees in the field of supply and property management and warehousing.

2.  Knowledge of the practices, procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the effective operation of a supply management program at a large industrial facility.

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:
