This position is located at The 115th Maintenance Operations, Madison, WI

 

This position is open to current members of The Wisconsin Air National Guard

 

Military Grade: Pay grade range is E4 through E7.

 

If position becomes permanent, individual may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition.  Individual will be given a 30 day notice prior to termination of appointment.

 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.  Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.  Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. 

 

**Acceptance of any military technician position may cause the termination of entitlements and eligibility for all military bonuses and student loan repayments.  For further information you must contact the appropriate military education office.

This position is located in the Job Control Section of the Maintenance Control Branch. The purpose of this position is to provide planning, scheduling and control of aircraft maintenance through a variety of support maintenance shops.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS9 Pay scale, applicants must have at least 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.  Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.

Military Grades: Only current applicants within the military pay grades of E4 through E7.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Incumbent must maintain membership in the Wisconsin National Guard.
  • For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
  • For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
  • The wearing of the military uniform and abiding by the customs and courtesies as prescribed by applicable military service regulations are conditions of employment.
  • Employees will be required to participate in direct deposit/electronic fund transfer (DD/EFT).
