Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
Accreditation Commission for
Education in Nursing (ACEN) formerly known as The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Current certification in BLS
Applicant's education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy.

Two (2) years of successful professional (RN) nursing practice with evidence of progressive nursing/administrative responsibility is required.
3-5 years of successful professional (RN) nursing practice with evidence of progressive nursing/administrative responsibility is strongly preferred.
5 years of previous Performance Improvement professional (RN) nursing experience is preferred.
Board certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from a VA-approved certifying body is preferred.
Demonstrated experience and skill in development of a Performance Improvement/Customer Service Program is preferred.
Demonstrated experience and skill with data collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation from service/facility sources to identify patterns/trends for improvement as well as development of data-driven action plans is preferred.
Expert computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office suite applications is preferred.
Skills in team building and Systems Redesign is preferred.
