Conducts performance and financial-related audits and other reviews of Board programs, operations, activities, and functions; may also assist in information technology audits of automated operations and systems and OIG investigations. Provides input for audit planning, participates in fieldwork, writes segments of audit reports, and makes presentations to Board staff and management.

At the FR-24 through 26 levels, must have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance. At the FR-24 and 25 levels, incumbent may receive day to day guidance and direction from senior staff and may work on portions of projects and reports. At the FR-26 level, incumbent works independently with minimal supervision, and has overall responsibility for writing audit reports for assigned projects. Ensures projects and products comply with OIG policies and procedures; and supports the OIG's quality assurance function.

FR-24 Bachelors Degree 1yr, Plus specific experience, or a Masters Degree
FR-25 Bachelors Degree 3yrs, Plus specific experience
FR-26 Bachelors Degree 5yrs, Plus specific experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or similar fields; or equivalent experience. Progressive experience in auditing or evaluating programs. Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, or Certified Information Systems Auditor are desirable, but not required. Knowledge of banking supervision is beneficial. The number of years experience required
for a position increases with the grade level of the position. The FR-24 level requires one or more years of OIG or similar experience auditing or evaluating programs (or a Master's degree); the FR-25 level requires three or more years of such experience; the FR-26 level requires five or more years of such experience.
