AREA I:  All Excepted Technicians of the New Jersey Air National Guard.

AREA III:  All members of the NJANG or those eligible for membership

If a

New Jersey Army National Guard (NJARNG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJANG.

 

If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the New Jersey Air National Guard

               MINIMUM RANK:  Capt/O3                               MAXIMUM RANK: Lt Col/O5

MILITARY POSITION: JFHQ-Air 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:  Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:

AFSC:38PX

NOTE:  THE INDIVIDUAL SELECTED HAS ONE YEAR TO OBTAIN ADVERTISED AFSC/MOS

LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION:  MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Duties

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position:  A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.

MAJOR DUTIES:Provides state level coordination of all military personnel programs, including but no limited to:  enlistment, appointment, performance evaluation reports, promotions, officer and enlisted selective retention discharges, separations, recruiting, retention, incentives and training.  Coordinates a statewide incentive program, and serves as the focal point for all matters pertaining to the program.  Responsible for the management of the State ANG Retention Program for enlisted and officer personnel.  Serves as principal assistant to the Administrative Officer and in his/her absence ensures continuity of operations.  Manages the federal and state ANG Military Awards Program.
