The National Park Service is looking for temporary employees to work as Lead Wildland Firefighter (Helitack Crew Leader) located in Fairbanks, Alaska (Yukon-Charley River NP).

Positions at the GS-06 level have been identified as one of the key fire management positions under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard. These positions have been categoriezed as a Senior Firefighter (SFF), and is subject to meeting the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position. *In addition to the base salary, you will receive a 5.57% cost of living allowance for the Fairbanks, Alaska location. This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and gradual decrease.
