There are two positions located in the Operations Division, Office of Diversion Control (OD), Liaison and Policy Section (ODL); Liaison Unit (ODLL).   The incumbent will perform duties such as:

  • Formulating and developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of major agency programs. 
  • Providing expert analysis and evaluation to management that encompass programmatic milestones, schedules, and resource planning and execution required for effective management, operations, and decision making in support of a project/program or functional area.
  • Consulting and coordinating with DEA managers to make assignments, and review and discuss operations, special projects, long and short range plans, and other management considerations.
  • Serving as an expert consultant in a broad specialty area in education or a subject-matter field; developing original course plan and design for basic course concepts; participating in planning conferences with supervisory and program managers to provide necessary information pertaining to the program specialty.
  • Preparing and developing material for portions of courses that conform to existing guidelines and precedents or evaluating and revising a course that requires only minor modifications, such as routine periodic updating.
  • Advising senior management on policy and program developments; providing guidance on the resolution of problems, and on the most effective utilization of staff and resources.
