NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the New York Air National Guard.  Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.  Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. 

 

 

This position is located in Air National Guard (ANG) associate Joint Surveillance and Tracking Airborne Radar System (JSTARS) flying squadron.

Duties

The primary purpose of the position is to administer, schedule, and conduct flight and ground training in order to develop, upgrade, and evaluate the skills of airborne intelligence officers/technicians (AIO/AIT).  Provides training and guidance to instructors and flight examiners on instructor techniques, student assessments, and training techniques.  Performs aircrew flying duties as advanced airborne intelligence officer/technician (AAIO/AAIT) instructor in the JSTARS aircraft.  Performs intelligence-related staff support duties.
