This position is located in the Office of American Citizens Services and Crisis Management (ACS) within the Overseas Citizens Services Directorate (OCS), Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This position reports to the chief of one of several geographic divisions within the office. ACS develops policies, procedures, and programs and provides guidance and direction to Foreign Service posts on the provision of emergency and non-emergency services to American citizens abroad. This position serves as a case/country officer, providing information and guidance concerning American Citizens Services to the public and posts abroad on the application and administration of laws, regulations, and Department policies governing these services.
