This position is located in the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science, Office of the Senior Vice President for the University, Office of The University Registrar (REG). The USUHS University Registrar functions as a service office to provide students, alumni, faculty, administrators, military and other institutions with the necessary support as we maintain each student's academic record with integrity, respect and confidentiality. 

The purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of analytical, management support, and administrative duties to facilitate the operation of the University Registrar. You will be required to provide guidance concerning policy and procedures for a variety of registrar programs within the University.

 

Duties

As a Registration Specialist your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as Assistant Registrar responsible for providing a wide variety of analytical, management support, and administrative duties to facilitate the operation of the University Registrar.
  • Coordinates administrative and analytical support for administrative and financial areas of the office.
  • Monitors the academic progress of students including academic probation and student advancements; analyzes and develops summaries, reports, and statistics on student demographics; i.e., enrollments, separations.
  • Conducts a continuous review of policies, practices and procedures to assure maximum utilization of time, money, manpower, and material.
  • Assists the Registrar in providing leadership necessary to maintain an effective and productive workforce.
  • Makes suggestions and provides input to supervisor concerning, performance standards and appraisals,
  • promotions, reassignments, recognition of outstanding performance, and personnel and training needs of employees.
