This vacancy is for a Administrative Support Assistant (OA) position in the Administrative Office for the Demographic Programs Directorate, and will primarily service the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.
One year probationary period may be required.
Relocation expenses may be paid.
This is a bargaining unit position.

The individual selected for this position will:Prepare various administrative requests/documents (e.g., budget position listing, invoice cost allocation worksheets, travel vouchers/reconciliations, leave audits, requests for training, etc.).
Review administrative requests/documents (e.g., personnel, procurement, time and attendance, training, etc.) for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established guidelines, policies, regulations, and procedures.
Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees regarding a variety of administrative policies and regulations (e.g., human resources, leave, procurement, property control, training, etc.).
