About the Position:
This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Armys Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the worlds largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves as the depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Positions include those providing support to the maintenance of helicopters in a variety of shops or in an office setting.
As a result of sequestration and budget shortfalls, The Department of the Army is furloughing most of its employees for some amount of time during Fiscal Year(FY) 2013. Current Permanent Department of Army AMCOM Employees within the commuting area of Corpus Christi, TX with competitive status (includes Army AMCOM employees serving on a career or career-conditional appointment). You will conduct Mini-IPRs for the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in order to address concerns that may impact the Command Production Schedule to help monitor and report the latest on the contract. Keep senior leadership informed regarding latest information ranging from material cost reduction, metrics on repair turnaround time (RTAT) on the contract by providing updates through in process reviews (IPR) that occur weekly and on a quarterly basis. You will address corrective action report (CARS) in a timely manner and identify the appropriate root cause and obtain solution. You will notify the Contracting Officer of violations of labor standard provisions. Initiate corrective action ensuring that all defects and omissions are corrected or completed. Perform inspection of delivered supplies or services and certify receipts for payment purposes. Evaluate monthly cost data on a quantitative and qualitative basis to include trends and projections. Review and verify the contractor invoices, determine the government's agreement or non-agreements with the contractors' reports and cost vouchers.
