This position serves as the Educational Technician to the Dean of Admissions and Director of Admissions for the Office of Admissions located at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. The United States Naval Academy (USNA) is a four year undergraduate institution with a mission to prepare midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically for commissioning as officers in the naval service. The USNA Office of Admissions is responsible for: the class selection of 1200 midshipmen from an average of over 16,000 applicants; marketing and outreach to potential applicants; coordination with Blue & Gold Officers; Science Technology Engineering and Math program; and competitive recruitment of high-potential students from national high schools, colleges, and Naval Services.

 

 

Duties

  • Advises and assists with the unique administrative procedures and policies for a service academy environment
  • Plans, develops, and manages administration programs necessary for day-to-day operations of the office and the Office of Administration
  • Oversees annual administrative milestones to support the enrollment and admissions process for over 16,000 annual applicants
