This vacancy is for a Dermatology position at the Albany, VAMC.  This vacancy will be used to fill one full-time (40 hours per week) permanent appointment.  The tour of duty for this vacancy will be day shift.

The Albany VA Medical Center is seeking a board eligible/certified Dermatologist.  The Albany VA is located in the beautiful Capital District of NY which boasts variety of cultural offerings and outdoor activities, excellent quality of life, good cost of living and proximity to larger metropolitan cities including NYC, Boston and Montreal.

The full-time Dermatologist must have sufficient clinical experience to function independently in an outpatient clinic setting.  Practice is shared with other part time staff and includes teaching of internal medicine trainees. 

Experience and commitment to clinical research are highly desirable.

The Stratton VAMC is an active teaching hospital and is physically adjacent to the Albany Medical College, Albany, NY.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Dermatologist should be physically and mentally capable to perform the duties of the position.  Physical activities include sitting, standing (up to 2 hours) walking (up to 2 hours), heavy lifting (45 pounds or over), reaching above the shoulder, and repeated bending.
