This vacancy is for a Dermatology position at the Albany, VAMC. This vacancy will be used to fill one full-time (40 hours per week) permanent appointment. The tour of duty for this vacancy will be day shift.

The Albany VA Medical Center is seeking a board eligible/certified Dermatologist. The Albany
VA is located in the beautiful Capital District of NY which boasts variety of cultural
offerings and outdoor activities, excellent quality of life, good cost of living
and proximity to larger metropolitan cities including NYC, Boston and Montreal.
The full-time Dermatologist must have sufficient clinical
experience to function independently in an outpatient clinic setting.
Practice is shared with other part time staff and includes teaching of internal
and commitment to clinical research are highly desirable.
Stratton VAMC is an active teaching hospital and is physically adjacent to the
Albany Medical College, Albany, NY.

- U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
- Must possess BLS certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Dermatologist should be physically and mentally capable to perform the duties of the position. Physical activities include sitting, standing (up to 2 hours) walking (up to 2 hours), heavy lifting (45 pounds or over), reaching above the shoulder, and repeated bending.
