About the Position:
Serves as a Contract Specialist in the Contract Execution Branch. This position is located on Fort Shafter, Hawaii, which is near the Historical Palm Circle on the island of Oahu. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain. It is home to about three-fourths of the states population. Honolulu is the state capitol and the 11th largest U.S. metropolitan city. Waikiki, the most world-renowned site in Oahu, is the top visitor destination of the state. The island is very geographically diverse with mountains, rainforests, volcanic craters, tropics, beaches and much more. Hawaii is a beautiful state, but may be considered to have a high cost of living. The median house price is $650K. The rental market is high, as well. It is highly recommended that research be done about the cost of living in Hawaii prior to applying.
This position is a full-time term appointment not to exceed 1 year and 1 day. Term appointments are temporary and may be extended up to 4 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
