We work to keep these rivers navigable for commercial traffic. We dredge the river bottom where the sand & silt build shoals, out into the river that reduces the depth of the river channel, causing towboats to run aground & break-up their tows. There are two lounges with satellite T.V. and computers with satellite internet connections on board. We work 12-hour shifts; on a 7 days on/4 days off, then 7 days on/3 days off rotating schedule; with mandatory overtime during the dredging season.
