In order to qualify for the GS-09 grade level of this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) monitoring, maintaining or updating financial data and records in an automated system; 2) utilizing a computer system or an application to access, create, edit, print, send, retrieve or manipulate financial data; and 3) collecting, compiling and organizing financial information in an automated system; 4) assisting in preparation of monthly reports regarding reimbursable funds programs; 5) assisting in the compilation of data regarding funding from gift and private donors to be used in the formulation of budgets.
Or you have completed at least two full years of graduate level education, or possess a master's or equivalent degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or a closely related degree. Or you may have a combination of specialized experience, but less than one year and more than one year but less than two years of graduate education.
In order to qualify for the GS-11 grade level of this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) identifying, analyzing, and resolving budgetary problems, such as development of alternative methods of funding (such as reimbursable funds or gifts/donations) and formulation of budget estimates; 2) analyzing and applying commonly used budget and/or finance practices, procedures, regulation, precedents; policies, and guides that specifically pertain to the work assigned to related needs and accomplishments of the organization to anticipate and/or actual dollar figures in the budget; 3) analyzing financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions; 4) preparing register of donations (cash and gift-in-kind) in accordance with policies, regulations and guidelines of reimbursable and gift accounts.
Or you possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education in finance, accounting, public administration, or a closely related degree. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Or you may have a combination of specialized experience, but less than one year and more than two years of education but less than three.
