|On March 27, 2009 President Barack Obama announced a new strategy for Afghanistan and the region, clearly defining Afghanistan and Pakistan as the top foreign policy priorities for the current Administration. Hence, the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs was developed to manage the development programs in these regions. The Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs manages a program of over $5 billion for both countries.This position is located in the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs, Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division.
You will prepare management program reports and evaluations to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas requiring improvements; develop and manage methodologies designed to invigorate existing program effectiveness; evaluate management systems and the effectiveness in assigned regions; lead evaluation and program assessment teams; assist Afghanistan and Pakistan missions with host country evaluations, development assistance, and implementation of development strategies; and develops plans and programs for technical assistance in development assistance areas.
