Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develops new or modified work methods.
-Coordinates ongoing data collection and performs analysis to determine optimal organizational performance.
-Develops initiatives to meet Facility performance goals related to quality health care.
-Provides expert level support related to the Patient Information Management System (PIMS) core package.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement Monday, October 07, 2013.


Time-in-grade:  Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For the GS-12 level, these applicants must have held at least the GS-11 grade or higher for a year.   The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service.


Specialized Experience: Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.  Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: 

    -Extract and analyze a wide range of data from information technology system for utilization of statistical analysis.
    -Use multiple sources of data (Proclarity, Excel, Viso, etc.,) to create reports which identify trends or systems deficiencies impacting organizational performance.
    -Analyze ongoing and proposed program efforts to ensure compliance with management objectives, approved resources, milestone/schedule execution, or user requirements.
    -As supervisor, develop performance standards, evaluate employee performance, approve/disapprove leave and/or resolve minor employee related complaints.
    -Oversee and coordinate a variety of complex projects impacting several long-term programs.
    There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.


NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month & year starting and ending dates AND hours worked per week. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week.  Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an office setting with occasional visits to areas within the service as well as throughout the Medical Center. Work includes sitting, walking, bending, stooping and carrying lights supplies and records.
