This position is located in the Medium Range Recovery (MRR), Product Line Division, Aviation Logistics Center, US Coast Guard, Elizabeth City, NC.
The role of this position is to perform a wide range of tasks related to the installation, fabrication, maintenance, modification, and repair of major electronic systems of the highest complexity or which are modifications of previous systems when total system integration is of paramount importance. The work may be performed on all types of airframes but primarily those with more advanced electronic systems, for US Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
-Repairs, overhauls, modifies, tests and troubleshoots airborne electronics systems composed of a number of subsystems.-Serves on "lead off" teams to implement maintenance and repair procedures on major electronic systems where precedence may be set on technical issues.-Serves as a source of technical expertise on system integration and provide advice to other employees in the electronics trade.-Troubleshoots complex electronic systems characterized by unusual circuit arrangements and lack of developed documentation.
