ARKANSAS NATIONAL GUARD
**Position based upon availability of funds, not to exceed completion of project or one year (whichever occurs first). This appointment may be extended up to a maximum of one additional year for a total of two years upon approval of the Human Resources Office.

NOMINATING OFFICIAL: 2nd Lt Shalin Gieson, Logistics Management Officer
DUTY LOCATION: 189th Airlift Wing (AW), Arkansas Air National Guard (AR ANG), Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB), Arkansas
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an Excepted (Dual Status Military Technician) position that requires active membership in a compatible skill in the Arkansas Air National Guard. Selectee must be a member of the Arkansas Air National Guard and be assigned to the 189th AW in a compatible military position in Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2R0X0. Must become compatible in the AFSC within 12 months of appointment. Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently at a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply;however, they must administratively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmation of the reduction to HRO.

The incumbent analyzes maintenance data and presents results to management. Interprets findings from maintenance data and the use of statistical techniques. Identifies trends and significant deviations from plans, schedules and workload estimates. Controls and maintains the Management Information System (MIS). Develops policies and procedures for MIS application within maintenance activities. Oversees the identification and correction of file errors within the database. Develops factors to measure and predict maintenance manpower,equipment and facilities capabilities. Analyzes performance data to determine manpower, equipment and facilities maintenance capabilities. Evaluates maintenance manning and equipment, material and facility limitations to determine the impact each has on unit and mission effectiveness. Controls, develops and coordinates maintenance data systems and requirements. Determines data processing requirements and relates functional aspects to specific hardware and software capabilities. Controls automated management products retrieval and advises maintenance supervisor on automated information use. Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have 24 months experience interpreting policies and procedures and applying them to a variety of work situations pertaining to National Guard organization structures, functions, procedures and techniques.
PLACEMENT FACTORS: Applicants should demonstrate through prior experience, education and training the following: (1) Knowledge of ANG organizational structures, functions, procedures and techniques. (2) Ability to apply practices, theories, techniques and methods of management. (3) Ability to analyze, interpret and apply maintenance policies and procedures. (4) Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions and develop solutions to assigned problems. (5) Knowledge of maintenance management, Management Information System (MIS) and reporting procedures. (6) Ability to orally present and discuss complex matters in a clear and convincing manner. (7) Completion of appropriate technical school/Career Development Courses (CDCs).
