How would you like to become a part of a team providing compassionate care to Veterans?
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT GREENVILLE HCC.
The Greenville VA Health Care Center (HCC) will provide treatment to Veterans in eastern North Carolina. The HCC is located at 401 Moye Boulevard, Greenville, NC 27834. This is less than a mile from the current VA clinic in Greenville. The new center will operate as a satellite facility of the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), located at 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705.
In operation since 1999, the existing Greenville CBOC houses primary care, mental health, prosthetics, and physical therapy services. This includes womens health, audiology, cardiology, orthopedics, optometry, dental, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, and other services. Minor procedures such as endoscopy will also be available
The Registered Nurse within this clinic will function as a primary care nurse in support of the physician or mid-level provider. Duties will include, but not be limited to, oversight of nursing staff, patient intake, documentation, point of care testing and health screening. The RN will assess, triage, take histories and document conditions and concerns for veterans presenting to the clinic in person and via the telephone. The clinical nurse will coordinate care through the health continuum. Patient/health education, health coaching and health promotion are integral functions of the role.
