This position is located in the Financial Operations Division (FOD) within the Office of Grants and Financial Management (OGFM). The Financial Operations Division serves as the focal point for NIFA's financial management activities related to the Federal Assistance programs. This position is responsible for reconciliation of obligations, disbursements, and reimbursements of NIFA accounts.


·       Performs cash reconciliation at the treasury symbol level of the Agency by collaborating with the team leader and other staff to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.

·       Provides assistance to management officials concerning fiscal issues and recommends courses of action to effectively resolve these issues.

·       Troubleshoots problems in daily accounting operations such as researching and resolving discrepancies in the reports of monthly obligations and disbursements.

·        Compiles and analyzes statistical material from various sources and based on the analyses of this data, prepares financial management reports for the agency including monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for senior management, program staffs, and other administrative units within FOD.
