JOB SUMMARY:

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)  is a Department of Defense (DOD) combat support agency and an important member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. 

DIA is first in all-source defense intelligence to prevent strategic surprise and deliver a decision advantage to warfighers, defense planners, and policymakers.  DIA deploys globally alongside warfighters and interagency partners to defend America's national security interest.

Serve as primary sales clerk for the DIA Memorabilia Store, DIA,HQ, Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, Washington, DC 20340. Operate RecTrac point of sales system to check out/complete store sales transaction; collect and safe guard cash/make change; and reconcile cash/credit receipts. Close out sales transactions and complete all applicable financial documents at the end of each business day. Assist with restocking of shelves and display cases. Assist in the conduct of monthly store inventories. Perform other duties as assigned.

Provides customer service in a retail sales activity. Demonstrates and sells specialized merchandise to customers. May operates a cash register, makes change completes charge and layaway transactions. Maintains merchandise by stocking shelves, displaying goods and keeping the area neat and orderly. Keeps related sales records as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR215-3, para 2-13i to include a National Agency Check (NACI) inquires /level of trust.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a level 6 clearance/TS SCI.  Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.


 

Conditions of employment:

1. A one-year probationary period may be required.

2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.

3.  Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check. 

4. Successfully complete all required background checks.
