NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the New York Air National Guard.  Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.  Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. 

This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Unit, Operations Directorate.

Duties

Aircraft include: C-32B, E4, E8-C, (E)C130E/H/J, HC-130, MC-130, MC-12W, OC-135, RC-135S/U/V/Wand Senior Scout mission.   The purpose of this position is for providing ground and flight training for developing, upgrading, and evaluating skills of Airborne Mission Systems Specialist (AMSS); to provide training to instructors and flight examiners on instruction technique, student assessment and training techniques;  to perform Airborne Mission Systems ground and aircrew communications duties, to include telecommunications, radar, computer networking, sensors, electronic systems and secure voice/data links on worldwide command and control in support of combat, peacetime, humanitarian and Personal Recovery (PR) missions; to perform air operations related staff support duties.
