To qualify at the GS-11:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level of Federal service performing the following duties related to the position of District Asset Forfeiture Coordinator:
- Managing recovered property and/or assets including arranging proper storage and disposal of a variety of material goods.
- Monitoring financial records to ensure expenditures and obligations are accurately recorded and accounted for.
- Developing project objectives and plans of action.
- Evaluating operational methods and protocol to develop appropriate actions in unfamiliar situations.OR
Education: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in business, accounting, finance, or other closely related field. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full- time study. If that information cannot be determined from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as equivalent to 1 year of full-time study. You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.
Combination: You may qualify for this position if you have a percentage of the specialized experience described above and a percentage of the education described above such that when the two percentages are added together, they total at least 100 percent. To determine your combination, first compute your experience as a percentage of the experience listed above; then determine your education as a percentage of the education listed above; then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate education in excess of one year (18 semester hours) may be used to qualify. You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
