Counts change fund, sets up cash drawers, and verifies the accuracy of each drawer.
Turns on the master cash control processor and sets up the office terminal(s) for the days business.
Issues change to cashiers.
Periodically checks cash register drawers to prevent extensive fund accumulation.
Bags and seals cash and checks, makes up change list for secure pick up and deposit.
Verifies cashier records against total of change funds and sales records

General experience is defined as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to perform the duties of a Teller.
Conditions of Employment:
Work Schedule: Part Time 48 hours biweekly
Tour of Duty: Irregular Schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirement: The work is primarily sedentary but does include some standing, walking, and occasional bending. May be required to lift and/or carry money boxes or bags. Works and irregular work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Time after competitive appointment: Candidates applying under merit promotion must have completed three months of civilian service after a competitive appointment by the closing date of the announcement. (5 CFR 330.501).
