This position is located in the Division of Ocean Sciences. The Division of Ocean Sciences supports research, infrastructure, and education to advance understanding of all aspects of the global oceans and ocean basins, including their interactions with people and the integrated Earth system.

As a Program Specialist, you will play a key role in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify business process problems with a focus on supporting program and division budget activities. Specifically, you will: Perform a variety of duties associated with proposal processing including redacting panel reviews/summaries (non-scientific), identifying conflicts of interest (COI), and responding to correspondence and telephone calls regarding proposal policies and systems. Gather data for analysis and information sharing; and conduct moderately complex qualitative analyses. Troubleshoot systems and provide system support for basic proposal processing systems and applications. Provide budget support to include creating and monitoring the budget spreadsheets and conducting financial analysis.
