About the Position:
This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul,repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus ChristiArmy Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellencefor Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the world's largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves as the depot training base for activeduty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis,lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.Positions include those providing support to the maintenance of helicopters ina variety of shops or in an office setting.

Duties

In a developmental capacity as a Sheet Metal Worker (Fork Lift Operator), WG-05, you will assist higher graded sheet metal workers. You will receive on-the-job formal training to progressively perform more difficult and responsible sheet metal work assignments to progress toward the target grade of WG-08. You will operate fork lift to move empty containers or containerized aircraft components to staging area or within the shop. You will inspect containers and hardware used for storing and shipping. You will use preservative to protect metal and material of rotary wing aircraft components against corrosion and deterioration for storage and shipment.
