The selectee may have to take up to 23 furlough hours (unpaid time off) by September 30, 2013.  The number of furlough hours the selectee has to take will be proportional to the selectee's start date.

Duties

You will:

Develops, analyzes evaluates, advises on, or improves the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organization, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls and other functions of management within the Office. Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs in meeting established goals and objectives.  Performs analysis of the impact and effectiveness of existing and/or proposed standards, regulations, programs and policies. Provides position management advice and recommendations to the Management team on the distribution of the workload and the skills mix or categories of employees needed to accomplish the work of the Office.  Works with the Office Director on projects of a broad scope involving national significance, consistency or precedence setting. Participates in national level tasks, regional task forces, committees, and conferences on issues pertaining to administrative controls or operations, as assigned by the Office Director. Provides advice and support to the Office Director and the Management Team on complicated administrative issues.  Recommends adjustments in approach to resolve any outstanding issues and assists in achieving overall program planning outputs.
