Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assigning, directing, counseling and evaluating other health care practitioners;
Implementation of adult learning theories and teaching techniques;
Application of clinical nursing concepts, principles and practices to evaluate nursing care and teach clinical standards; and
Performance of research methods and development of Continuous Improvement studies.
At least two and a half years of progressively higher level graduate education, exceeding a master's degree with a concentration in a field of nursing or in a closely related non-nursing field directly applicable to the requirements of the position to be filled.
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time you completed the program.
BASIC CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Possess current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a professional registered nurse in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified; and IV Conscious Sedation Certified.
