NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatibility assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the New Jersey Air National Guard
MINIMUM RANK: SMSgt/E-8 MAXIMUM RANK: CMSgt/E-9
MILITARY POSITION: 108th WING
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS: Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:
AFSC: MUST HAVE 2AXXX
LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION: MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS:To obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB Score of 70 in the Mechanical area. ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position, however applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position. The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/Military Personnel Office

MAJOR DUTIES: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Quality Assurance Division. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates. Manages, reviews and develops maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance matters. Manages the Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP). Ensures personnel use proper data collection techniques and procedures for evaluation, inspection and audit programs and a number of related databases and spreadsheets to capture and catalog data elements for trending, cross-tell, and benchmarking.
