This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office of Surveillance and Compliance (OSC), Rockville, Maryland.

Analyze and interpret the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, other statutes enforced by the FDA, and regulations implementing these laws in order to make legally-supported enforcement and policy recommendations.
Analyze and interpret complex data relating to the regulation of animal drugs, food, and devices in order to make sound enforcement and policy recommendations.
Participate in the development and implementation of regulatory strategies for animal foods, drugs, and devices.
Draft and review documents associated with enforcement actions and regulatory documents (such as regulations, guidances, policy statements, citizen petition responses, and communications with regulated industry and other stakeholders) to ensure they are legally sufficient, consistent with Federal, Agency, and Center policies supported by evidence, and well-written.
Inform Office and Center staff on: laws affecting animal food, drugs, and devices; development of evidence to support enforcement and regulatory actions; and procedures for implementing regulatory authorities and programs.
